New tweak in Cydia, Puller for Byline, adds a pull to sync feature to Byline.app. By pulling you scrolling view down past the top bar, yo can reveal a trigger for refreshing like is seen in some popular apps. No new Icons are add and you can configure using your Settings.app. Free in Cydia. Search for it.
